Place Value Pizzeria

Multiple representations of numbers…UGH!  This is just a little something I did last year and decided to do it again a few weeks ago.  The kiddos liked it because it was sort of “artsy” (which we don’t have many opportunities for).  Here’s a couple of pictures….

place value 1

                                  place value 2

Pretty simple to do…I just made a pie graph and wrote the multiple representations in each triangle—I mean “slice”.  Number words, Money, Place value, Base Ten Pictures, Standard Form, Expanded Form, and in the crust they added different ways to show their number.  This was easily differentiated with the number I gave them.  If you have any ideas to add---Please do.  Smile with tongue out

Here is a link to the sign and the pie graph.  Hope it’s something you can use.

Consider this as good as stolen. I'm going into 2nd grade from 4th in January and this would make a fantastic center activity.
